Wasn’t sure how the body was going to respond with the amount of racing and travel in the weeks prior, happy I was able to end this race block on a high note!
I was just missing the run legs on the last lap to contend for the win, congrats to @liamdonnellytri and @keller.norland15 for 1st and 2nd.
It’s been a long road to getting back to being competitive on the elite level after a very tough season last year.
Still working on further improvement on the swim, but looking forward to figuring out how to make the jump.

After a year long hiatus, I finally got back on a World Triathlon podium!

My swim was my best ever on paper, I ended being 30 seconds down from the leader out of the water. However, I felt pretty flat during the first hundred meters and ultimately missed the lead group by a couple seconds.
On the bike, the gap to the leaders stayed the same and I came off the bike around 10th place.
I was able to run myself through the majority of the field and ended up in a sprint finish with @sullivanmiddaugh for third.

Very pleased with where fitness is at so far and looking forward to continuing to finding some gains in the swim.

🥉for me in the Stockton Americas Cup. Over the moon to earn my very first eilte @worldtriathlon podium!
I definitely fell into a bit of a performance slump the last couple of months and about a month ago I ended up getting my funding cut from USAT. So this one really means a lot.
Thanks to my team for helping me regain my confidence and reframe my mindset.
The ticket has been punched to 🇦🇪Abu Dhabi U23 World Champs but the next race is the Pan American Championships in 🇺🇾Montevideo, Uruguay.

5th place at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga and qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships!
Back to back weekends with a 6th place finish at Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast and now this one. Proud of the consistency and how the work is starting to show across all three disciplines.
Still plenty left to improve, but excited for what’s ahead.

6th at 70.3 Gulf Coast. Shortened swim wasn’t ideal, but good to see the work on the bike paying off and was able to manage a 1:10 run. Also pretty cool seeing my dad grab 2nd in his age group. Back at it next weekend for Chattanooga 70.3.

Every lap, every split, every drop of sweat backed by real data. The lactate doesn’t lie, and neither does the work it takes to push that threshold just a little further each session.
A shaky explanation, but very solid data. Fitness is building, and I’m looking forward to kicking my season off.

10th at 70.3 La Quinta to finish my first middle-distance season.
It’s definitely been a steep learning curve moving up from short course.
