first week back at work def didn’t go as planned.. got a text from the daycare a couple of hours after I got to the studio on the first day saying little one might have caught HFMD infection, so we were told to take him to the doctor to check directly. he indeed caught the infection & was called to stay home for the whole week at least 🥲 this is exactly what I was worried about so I initially made him start daycare 10days before going back to work so I can make myself available for him, while he indeed caught a cold during his first days, we didn’t see this one coming right after he recovered & got his 6 months vaccination shot 🫠 kind of predictable I guess but I was hoping for the best case scenario.
thankful his dad managed to stay home with him this whole time & that we both smh made it work. this first week was intense but I know the future will hold even more challenging times for us so let this be practice 🤟🏼 #maternityleave #motherhood #momdiaries
soooo April marked my last month being a full time stay at home mom. my focus for the past few weeks has been about adapting his daily routine to match with the daycare’s cause I wanted the transition to be as smooth as possible for him, from introducing solid food, get him to sit and be a bit more independent so he’s used to not having me around 24/24 (putting him to sleep, drinking his milk etc.) little one got sick (predictable) for the first time after a couple of days attending, seems to grow even faster after a few hours apart, reached little milestones and we couldn’t be more thankful.
on mama’s side - my acne, period and the full up and down hormones package is finally back now that I’m done breastfeeding. needless to say I didn’t miss it. little bonus is I’m losing most of my hair I just wanna cry every time I get out of the shower..
