When people ask me about football my go to phrase is “I grew up through the game”, it’s so intrinsic to who I am that to summarise kicking a ball really is to condense my world view, my personal philosophies, my tears and my joy.
When Arsenal Men’s team were the cause of my pain I discovered Arsenal Women’s and entered the World of Women’s football. Finding a new joy, expression, and passion that’s stuck with me to this day.
Years on I made my own tribute to the game and to the women like Rachel Yanke, Alex Scott, and Eni Aluko who were mainstays of the Women’s game.
Nothing Can Stop me was a spec shoot turned full campaign in response to the dwindling number of black women and girls playing football in UK. A systemic tragedy and cultural shame that doesn’t need to exist, but does need more attention to encourage and support more women/femmes in the game.
I don’t shout about stuff nearly enough, but this one I’m truly grateful and proud of, I even got to work with a former Arsenal Women’s player as well - art imitates life as they say.
Love to the team ♥️

Meet director, producer and photographer Ola Fisayo (@nf____ola ) – this week’s Spotlight creative from the CLIP community!
Their series “Nothing Can Stop Me” combines moving image and photography, targeting more black women and girls to get into football.
“I see less representation on the pitch now than I did as a kid watching Arsenal Women’s,” says Ola.
If you’d like to be featured in the next Spotlight, head to the Google Form linked in our bio to find out more.

Had the pleasure of going to the BFA’s as a guest of @mentoring.matters & @mulberryengland
A complete shock but I couldn’t let a good shindig go to waste, with the creative & fashion industry consolidating more and more, yet feeling more and more uncertain, I wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate my friends & fellow emerging creatives
There’s room for you all, your light will shine through
As always this couldn’t happen without the incredible @lauralongterm , your kindness knows no bounds, I’ll keep going to live up to that
