My third full-length album ‘Better Late Than Never’ is out today, available on all your streamers at the link in bio 🔗 I recorded this record in a couple of days after landing a new job - it’s pretty rough and ready with a few more winks and smiles (I mean, look at the cover) as well as chaos and confrontation. Super proud that I was able to get this done and with this release I’m pushing ‘Pause’ on Next Paperback Hero. Given the challenges of the last few months and unknowns, I wanted to stop on my terms and I feel a great sense of completion and contentment about what I’ve accomplished. I don’t know if it’s the end, but it’s where I am right now. This was by far the most fun I’ve had recording and making music in a very, very long time and a big part of that came down to recording to cassette. It’s how I learned and more than twenty years later, still gives me the biggest joy. Waves is a messy, rough around the edges, honest record, and I can’t think of a better way to share these songs. It’s that time again for #bandcampfriday 🎶 When you make a purchase on Bandcamp.com today all the money goes straight to the artists, and I’ve got a bunch of tunes on there for you. I barely talked about it at the time, but my last record ‘Better Late Than Never’ is available and is one of my favorite things I’ve ever done. Hey all - it’s been just about a year and a half since my last gig, and I’m energized to get back out there starting this Friday, May 1 from 6-8 at @elmgrovebeergarden 🎶🍻 Plenty more to come this summer thanks to the great folks at @thirdspacebrewing but I am truly lucky to be able to push ‘play’ after being on ‘pause’ through a difficult stretch. These beer garden gigs are great for sharing some songs, raising a glass or two (and possibly wearing fingerless gloves on Friday lol) Time to begin again… again ☺️

About time The Janitor got his flowers 🤓 Art in Bloom at @milwaukeeart is always a highlight for us, and this year was definitely had some all time standouts. It’s such a beautiful way to say hello to spring, every show bringing something completely different - can’t recommend this annual tradition enough. 💐

SUPER quick trip to San Jose for K’s Birthday 🎉 to see the USWNT v Japan ⚽️, plus we squeezed in a visit to the Winchester Estate 🏚️ We also ate A LOT of incredible food wrapped in tortillas. 10/10, would repeat.

Ended the year with my first Wave game since approximately 4th grade, standout experiences in CHI and always a good time with the Mingos ⚽️⚽️⚽️

A couple weeks ago we went to a @mkemilkmen and had some delightful $1 Hamm’s (which we overheard some lady legitimately pronounce Haaaaamms’s) And then I accidentally took this selfie while the only home run of the game happened 🤣 Moooooo 🐄 See? I do more than go to soccer games 🫣

Monthly group met at @wireandvice this Sunday. There were 6 of us and we decided to do a co write. Put names in a hat and drew for partners. Writing exercise was to try and capture and mood or feeling of whimsy. Put names in a hat and let @mckenzievanoss pick for us. We had 1hr 15mins before we came back together to share what we wrote. We had some heavy hitters.
