|| SYNTHESIS || An immersive interior installation curated by Ruby Shields @_studio.shields featuring over 40 artists, designers & makers. Set within the Bishop’s Parlour at Abbotsford Convent, Synthesis explores how we live with design. Colour, material, light and scent held together, not in isolation, but in relationship. At its core, Synthesis is about collective authorship. This isn’t about objects on plinths. It’s about what happens when everything comes together. Many voices, one interior language. newInstance @newinstance.xyz As a practicing artist, architect and designer working across South Australia and New South Wales his interest lies in the production of crafted, raw objects and spaces. With a fascination in the ‘whole-of-life’ design process, objects and spaces are carefully considered through all stages of production and created with a level of thoughtfulness and pragmatism resulting in an enduring quality. Each project is founded with the need for a deep and critical understanding of material and process, allowing each component, material or space to perform to its natural ability. The launch of synonymous design brand newInstance(), reflects these qualities. Working on a range of custom commissions and production-based products the brand acts as a home for research, testing, manufacture and production of design; ranging from furniture, lighting and objects to the creation of temporary and permanent spaces. ~~~ Off-Menu, organised by @sedni.studio , will be proudly displayed at Noise Complaint @noisecomplaint_au 14/05-19/05, 11am-4pm daily, 35 Butler Street, Richmond. Lost icons of Adelaide <3 Diving into the archives ahead of Adelaide Design Week. @every_where_adl @soft.mdw

Very excited to be exhibiting work for @motion.exhibition at the inaugural Adelaide Design Week @every_where_adl this week! The piece explores molten metal and raw surfaces through a series of monolithic aluminium vessels. Previously shown as part of @soft.mdw 2025 the peices are a modular, honest expression of materiality, and made to live with.
