Cicely Balston (they/them) Mastering Engineer Co-founder of New Ground Audio Two-time MPG Mastering Engineer of the Year and Co-founder of New Ground. Having built their technical expertise cutting records on vintage lathes at Gearbox Records before moving to AIR Studios and Abbey Road Studios. Cicely approaches the console with both rigorous precision and the deep empathy of a musician. Their notable mastering and remastering credits include David Bowie’s back catalogue from the original tapes, albums from Witch Fever, Palace and David Gray, and Max Richter’s Oscar nominated score for Hamnet. Oli Morgan (he/him) Mastering & Atmos Engineer Co-founder of New Ground Audio A GRAMMY-nominated Mastering Engineer, Immersive Mixer, and Co-founder of New Ground Audio. Formerly of Abbey Road Studios, Oli was a forerunner in developing their stem mastering and Dolby Atmos mastering services. Oli’s practice is art and people first, committed to taking the time to ensure each record reaches its full creative potential. His hope is that at New Ground the final sign-off always feels like a celebration rather than a relief.
