I did this personal project for "Día de los Muertos". I thought It would be really interesting project to do a 3d portrait inspired on "La Catrina" an Iconic Mexican symbol. I Did all the texturing in Substance painter and it was rendered in VRay. Sculpting and modeling was done with zBrush and Maya.

After last years catrina, my wife gave me the awesome idea to make it a regular thing for "Día de los Muertos". I remodeled the face and reworked textures, groom and many other aspects of the image.

Throwback to be me of the first personal projects I actually finished, 5 years ago. The whole thing took me about a week and the challenge was to get something out no matter what. I always got fixated with details and never put stuff out. This one pushed me out from those boundaries, and is special to me for that reason.
