From Ramses, Cairo to Sidi Gaber station in Alexandria which is pretty much in the heart of Alexandria. The train is called the Talgo and only started up in December 2022 so still pretty new!

Notes: Foreigner price is around 1600 egp. The timing for the talgo is 8am, 2pm, 7pm (from Cairo). There are 0 stops along the way!

I can’t lie I was soooo disappointed about the batching especially because they only serve matcha so it only feels right to whisk per order especially bc it can help with the texture and make it smoother and just overall feels more intentional but I also can’t fault them when it tasted just as good as every other time I have been there so 🫣

This spot was super cool apart from the line being down the block…but I guess that’s a good signal. They’re known for their military latte which is a mix of steamed milk, espresso, matcha, vanilla syrup, and cocoa powder! I would give it a 7.5/10 it was super unique and their big cookies were sooo good 😍

Cutest new cafe with the most unique art! I tried their iced pistachio white chocolate latte and was honestly pleasantly surprised. Loved the sweetness just wish it stayed sweet beyond the first few sips, would give it a 6.8/10 bc we have some pretty strong competition here in the dmv when it comes to coffee.

Episode 2 of finding the best matcha in the DMV! I checked out Little Hat Coffee in DC. It’s inside streets market and overall such a cute spot! They have a few stools and a counter but not a place to go to if you want to sit down and work.
My barista was so lovely but the matcha honestly didn’t really blow me away. If I really like a matcha, in the moment I’ll already be thinking about making my next trip back. They are also known for their yuzu matcha lemonade so if I went back I’d definitely try that as it’s a little bit different.
Until then, the hunt for the best matcha in the DMV continues 😜 where shall I go next?

Around the World Embassy Tour was today, in Washington DC!
68 non European Union embassies in DC opened to the public to share their culture and traditions! I was only able to make it to 5 but Malaysia were the winners to me for sure!! So much effort was put into theirs 🥹 the snacks they were passing around were so yum too!
Definitely need to plan better for next year and get my passport stamped 68 times! Did anyone manage to do them all/is that even possible?
