"The Body Remembers in Silence"
I am honored to collaborate with the talented Ve Dhanito and Bintang Sempurna in this creation.
This artwork is a visual embodiment of interoception, the brain’s ability to sense and interpret the internal state of the body. Through layered imagery, multiplied limbs, and visceral textures, the piece explores how internal bodily sensations such as heartbeat, tension, or visceral emotion are experienced not just biologically but psychologically and perceptually. The fragmented, almost ghostly hands evoke the invisible communication between body and brain, between sensation and awareness. Technically, the work is a photographic piece printed on aluminium composite board, with raised and textured surfaces that enhance the tactile and sensory dimension of the concept. Measuring 60 x 90 cm, the physicality of the print mirrors the thematic core, making the internal both visible and tangible, inviting the viewer to enter a deeply intimate realm where the boundaries between self, flesh, and feeling blur.

Once upon a time ...
