124 miles. 12,000+ feet of climbing. 80% gravel. From pond swims to general store lunches to the fog lifting off camp in the morning, this trip was less about the numbers and more about the feeling of pedaling home.

Being that we’re an outdoor company that designs gear meant to provide a better backcountry experience, we’re lucky to call Maine home. And we get out in our big backyard to put in our continuous testing and final stamp of approval on the things we make whenever we can. Case and point, a recent backpacking and packrafting trip with folks on our R&D team and our friends at @ibexwool and @packraftmaine . @negus_chev and I did a four day sea kayaking trip in Stonington a few summers back and were lucky enough to camp on Little George Head Island… my favorite campsite to date. Having our own little island on the Maine coast seems unimaginable, thanks to @meislandtrail for the incredible access.
