“Three days of riding linked together the towns, dirt roads, and people that have shaped my time and life in Vermont.” 124 miles. 12,000+ feet of climbing. 80% gravel. From pond swims to general store lunches to the fog lifting off camp in the morning, this trip was less about the numbers and more about the feeling of pedaling home. pack·raft·ing noun 1: a choose-your-own-adventure where every chapter involves paddling remote water, picking things up, putting them down again, and only realizing how good it was once you’re home retelling the story. Photos and story @nelson__brown Tap link in bio to read 🔗

Moving through the Maine woods one step and paddle stroke at a time. A 3-day loop of loons, bushwhacks, fogged-in lakes, and just enough ridiculousness to keep it fun. “The best multi-day trips aren’t about ticking off miles or posting epic shots. They’re about settling into the rhythm, embracing the weird moments, and not taking yourself too seriously.” Story and photos: @nelson__brown Tap link in bio to read the story. #ibex

Being that we’re an outdoor company that designs gear meant to provide a better backcountry experience, we’re lucky to call Maine home. And we get out in our big backyard to put in our continuous testing and final stamp of approval on the things we make whenever we can. Case and point, a recent backpacking and packrafting trip with folks on our R&D team and our friends at @ibexwool and @packraftmaine . Over on The Trailhead, @nelson__brown provided a recap of this rad multimodal adventure, along with some pretty incredible photography to boot. Head over and check it out!

My photo was selected as a finalist for the annual @meislandtrail photo contest 🤘 @negus_chev and I did a four day sea kayaking trip in Stonington a few summers back and were lucky enough to camp on Little George Head Island… my favorite campsite to date. Having our own little island on the Maine coast seems unimaginable, thanks to @meislandtrail for the incredible access. Voting ends Friday, Nov 1st. Tap link in bio to vote.
