Congratulations to Ms. Scott, Ms. Douglas and our 4th graders who participated in Need in Deed! Need in Deed is an organization that supports schools in helping children make a difference in their community. Our students chose food insecurity to research and are having a sandwich making event to donate lunches to a local food bank. Great work!

What an incredible evening. A room (and livestream!) full of educators, advocates, neighbors, and leaders coming together to listen, learn, and lean into what our communities already know: wisdom lives here. We are so grateful for the honesty, insight, and deep love shared by our panelists — Dr. Pauline Cheung, Suzanne Cilli, and MeKia Elizabeth — and for the thoughtful leadership of our moderator, Councilmember Kendra Brooks. Your voices grounded us and pushed us forward. Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online, and to the interpreters and behind-the-scenes helpers who made the space welcoming and accessible for all. Together, we’re building classrooms — and a city — where every voice matters. ❤️ @keyschoolphl @kendraphlcouncil @greenfield_hsa @fumcogphilly #NeedInDeed #EducationalEquity #CommunityWisdom #PhillyEducation #EquityInAction
