We were asked why we come together each week in unity and stand in protest of the evil that’s tearing apart our communities— this is how we responded🕊️🤍

Yesterday’s Good Friday prayer vigil was a powerful reminder of what it means to show up in faith, courage, and community. ✝️🕊️ Standing together outside the ICE field office, we honored the lives impacted by injustice and lifted prayers that refuse to be silenced. 🖤🙏🏽
In the spirit of Good Friday, we reflected on sacrifice, suffering, and the call to stand with the most vulnerable among us—knowing that love and justice will always have the final word. ✨
This work doesn’t stop here. Join us every Monday at 11 AM outside the ICE Field Office (N. 8th St. & Cherry St., Philadelphia) as we continue to pray, witness, and advocate together.
Stand in solidarity. Stand in prayer.🕊️

Your presence matters. ✊🏽💛
At First United Methodist Church of Germantown, social justice isn’t just something we talk about — it’s part of our calling. ✊🏽💛 We believe faith should show up for our neighbors, speak up against injustice, and create space for compassion, peace, and action within our community.
Every week, we gather together in peaceful protest and solidarity because we know our voices are stronger when we stand united. Whether you’ve marched for years or are looking for a place to begin, you are welcome here. 🕊️

“As human beings, we are not problems to be solved, we are beloved creations to be accompanied.” 💛
This Mother’s Day, Pastor Alisa reminds us that when the world overlooks pain, faith calls us to notice it. Mothering isn’t just nurturing—it’s naming, seeing, and refusing to ignore suffering. We are invited into a posture of presence, especially with those who are hurting, overlooked, or unheard.
In a world that often rushes to fix or turn away, we are shaped by a faith that slows down, listens fully, and chooses connection over correction—because love is most powerful when it stays close.
💬 Should the church be more present in the places where people are hurting? Why or why not?

A summer full of fun, fellowship, and community is loading… ⏳🙌

The story of Saul in Acts 9 reminds us: sometimes our eyes can be wide open… and we still can’t see.
We live in a time where uncertainty is everywhere—global tension, personal struggles, questions about purpose, identity, and direction. And in the middle of all that, faith invites us to look deeper. 🙏🏽
To trust that even when we don’t see it, something is shifting.
To believe that clarity doesn’t always come instantly.
To understand that growth often starts in the unknown. 🌱
Maybe the question isn’t “Why can’t I see it?”
Maybe it’s “What is God doing that I haven’t learned to recognize yet?” 💭
If you’ve been feeling stuck, uncertain, or searching for direction—you’re not alone. And this message is for you. 🫵

Continuing our Easter season of impact, FUMCOG is proud to highlight the Hunting Park Community Solar Initiative ☀️🌱—a powerful effort bringing renewable energy and real financial relief to North Philadelphia.
Through a 27.2 kilowatt solar array built in Hunting Park, this initiative is creating sustainable change by lowering energy costs, generating savings, and reinvesting directly into the community 💡🏘️. From supporting One Hope Community Church to funding local programs and providing energy burden relief grants for low-income neighbors, this work is making solar power accessible and equitable ⚡💛.
Even more, the initiative is helping educate and train residents through bilingual solar installation programs—building pathways to opportunity while protecting our planet 🌎🔧.
This is what community-powered change looks like. Stay tuned as we continue highlighting this year’s incredible partners 👀✨

This morning, we gathered in sacred remembrance. 🕯️
The shoes laid before us belonged to the innocent lives taken by ICE—each pair a real person, a real story, a life stolen too soon. One by one, their names were spoken aloud so they would be heard, held, and never forgotten. 👟
Each outline traced was an act of remembrance, love, and holy resistance. We remember them. We honor them. We carry them with us. 🤍
Join us as we continue to stand, pray, and show up for justice.
