Everything I learned as a destination bride, and some tips for all the cutie girls planning their destination weddings:
1. Destination weddings aren’t easier, cheaper or more simple. Don’t fool yourself. It is way more work than it looks - you’re basically planning a vacation, production, and wedding all at once.
2. Your mood board is everything. The more detailed your vision is from the start, the easier every decision becomes later on. My crutch: @pinterest and @canva
3. Get a planner or coordinator. Don’t be dumb. @destaplanners and Villa planners saved my life
4. Do the girls trip before the wedding chaos starts - some of my favourite memories came from those little moments together, and no one helps you sort your vision out better than your sisters.
5. Don’t forget to actually pause and enjoy it all. The week goes by so fast and the best moments are usually the quiet ones.

I had a custom bridal dress made for my welcome party overseas but it got stuck in cargo.
The day before we were leaving for Mexico, I went down to the basement hoping to find something else to wear. Instead, in the very back of the closet, something caught my eye…

It had the exact corset beading detail I had designed. I tried it on just for fun and somehow, it fit like a glove. Perfectly. The train was also removable and the dress went perfectly with our theme!
Out of everything from the wedding weekend, this was my favourite part. My mom being the best part of me, always🤍
