What a magical night at NEDA’s Annual Gala. Last night, we came together to honor the incredible Jennette McCurdy and Kristina Saffran for their powerful advocacy, courage, and commitment to changing the conversation around eating disorders and mental health. It was an inspiring evening filled with hope, connection, and purpose as we raised critical awareness and funds to support resources, education, and research for those impacted by eating disorders. To everyone who attended, donated, supported, and believed in this mission, thank you for helping us continue this important work.

The annual @neda gala is Monday in NYC. The talented author, @jennettemccurdy is being honored so you know I’m headed across the US to attend! Fingers crossed 🤞 she won’t mind me being a super fan and asking her to sign my personal copy. As a memoirist - it’s always a dream to meet other authors I admire.

📄 82% of individuals reported engaging in disordered eating behaviors after exposure to body-focused content on social media. We recently conducted a Community Survey exploring the impact of social media on eating disorders, body image, and mental health. The findings highlight the powerful role online spaces can play in shaping mental health experiences for individuals, caregivers, and professionals alike. These insights will help inform future advocacy efforts, conversations around safer digital spaces, and continued support for our community. Read the full survey results at the link in our bio. #NEDA #EatingDisorderAwareness #MentalHealthAwareness

This month, our blog explores the often-overlooked connection between ADHD and eating disorders and how dopamine, impulsivity, shame, executive dysfunction, and masking can all shape someone’s relationship with food, movement, and their body. For so many people, finally understanding the why behind their behavior can be a turning point toward compassion rather than self-blame. Read more at the link in bio.

Realizing you’re not alone can be a powerful part of recovery. Sometimes, taking a step back from sport is the most supportive thing you can do for yourself. Giving yourself that space can open the door to healing, and sharing your story can help others find the confidence to begin their own journey. We’re proud to collaborate with @EDCare to continue fostering connection, support, and access to care for those navigating recovery. You’re not alone, and your story matters.
