This year just feels different. I feel more anchored in who God created me to be, more at peace with what was, and more expectant for what’s ahead.

At the top of this year, God gave me one word: yield. And let me tell you…yielding hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been necessary! It’s taught me to move at His pace, to trust His process, and to show up more fully as the woman, wife, minister, and friend He’s called me to be.

At 43, I’m embracing every lesson, every scar, every victory, and every quiet moment that’s shaped me. I’ve seen God’s hand carry me through things I didn’t think I’d make it out of, and guess what..I’m still standing. Stronger. Softer. Wiser.

This is Forty▫️Won!
Over 20 years ago, I received a prophetic word that I would be processed. He likened my next years to that of the process that the caterpillar goes through to becomes a butterfly. The prophet told me the truth.. he said I would have some hard times enduring this metamorphis. However, he said that when I come forth I’d never be the same. We’ve never seen a butterfly return to being a caterpillar. I’ve never seen a bloomed flower return to being a bud.

Technically… I should be alone.

Technically… I should be depressed.
Technically… I should be homeless.
Technically… I should have lost my mind.

BUT He blessed me and I am free because of a technicality- (formality. escape clause. minor point. nothing to speak of. nothing to write home about.)

That’s the thing that the enemy isn’t aware of… the sentence we deserved is always going to be overturned because of what Jesus did on the cross! His work rendered my wrongs forgivable. 🙌🏾
