My largest work of installation art, using muslin cotton hand-dyed with acrylic. Exhibited at @nas_au in ‘The Grad Show’ 2025.
This work explores the expanded field of painting, how colour can be sensed and experienced spatially. Balancing the subtle and radiant, it creates moments of simultaneity that draw from my relationship with vulnerability and control.

‘Optical illusions are sensed and perceived visually then misinterpreted by the mind. Ambiguities in particular refer to visuals that fluctuate. My work engages with this idea by exploring the relationship between light and space. Shadows and highlights meet, interact and become something almost tangible. These patterns create simultaneity, and rhythmic movement, destabilising thresholds of perception. Made through meditative repetition, it is a shifting, piercing presence that exists somewhere between seeing and knowing.’
