I know it’s been a while, but I wanted to reach out and share something with you. While a lot has changed at Nations Media, one thing remains the same: our deep passion for telling good, meaningful stories. Last year, my friends and I made a documentary film called ‘Saman Balus’ (The Story of the Flying Canoe), and I can’t wait to share it with you. It follows the remarkable 25+ year mission of Samaritan Aviation—bringing lifesaving medical access, hope, and help by seaplane to some of the most remote regions of Papua New Guinea. I hope you enjoy it. Joel

We’ve embarked on a mission to share stories that matter and inspire change. You play a crucial role. Negative stories are 10x more likely to be amplified than positive ones. We can change that! Our Kickstarter campaign is almost finished, and we invite you to change the narrative and choose a better story. Let’s complete this powerful documentary series together and bring stories of transformation from around the world. #kickstarer #documentary #photography #travel #stories #journals #storiesthattransformtheworld #faith

ICYMI 👀 We have a new short on the nations.co site Meet Dan Liesik, a multiple tour platoon leader who engaged in combat missions during the United States campaign in Iraq. He was honorably discharged from service following injuries he received in the field and now builds playgrounds in impoverished and war torn areas with an organization called Kids Around The World. Iraqi communities who were forced to flee during the war are now returning to their homes. But restoring cities previously home to hundreds of thousands of Iraqis is no easy task, and there is much work to be done. For Dan, helping to rebuild Iraq is an act of redemption which unites those returning to their homeland and heals the wounds of ISIS. Video by James Galt Watch the full video through the link in bio, with a Nations subscription. The best way to bossing a subscription is by supporting our #kickstarter #nationsmedia #playgrounds #warzones #hope #play #kids #future @galtvisual

This episode of the Nations Weekly Podcast is brought to you from the Nations Presents archives. Listen in this week as we republish an archival conversation featuring two brave reformers, Maryam and Marziayeh. Joel sits down for a conversation with Maryam Rostampour and Marziyeh Amirizadeh, authors of the book Captive in Iran, which chronicles their remarkable stories of conversion, imprisonment and release. Theirs is a story of friendship, brought together by a shared passion for the gospel, forged on the front lines of the persecuted church, and tested in the depths of one of the worst prisons in Iran. We learned about the miraculous ways that God spoke to them in dreams and visions, empowered them to minister and witness to inmates and guards, and ultimately orchestrated their eventual release. Maryam and Marziyeh’s story helps us to develop a more robust understanding of Iran and the growing church there. It was a conversation we were thrilled to have and are proud to bring to you.
