🚨HERE IT IS🚨 The 2025 New York Latino Film Festival commercial!
This year’s spot is extra special, not only because it marks the 25th Anniversary of the New York Latino Film Festival (
@nylatinofilmfestival ), but because it was made in collaboration with three generations of NYLFF directors: Nathan Franx (
@nathanfranx ) directing (2019 Alumni), Miguel Ortiz (
@28mmoz ) 2nd AD’ing (2022 Alumnj), and myself producing (2023 Alumni).
Nathan’s set back in 2019 was the first time I ever worked with NYLFF. I was 21, still in college, and had never been on a film set before. That experience inspired me to run my own set one day, just as collaborative and synergistic as Nathan’s. Fast forward to 2023, I felt ready to take on the challenge of directing a spot myself. Calixto took a chance on me and we created something beautiful.
Now in 2025, at 27, I had the honor of producing this year’s commercial, alongside Nathan and Miguel. Full circle moment.
