I was filming some ducks at a local pond when a new friend clambered their way into the video.
Spiny Softshells spend most of their time in the water, but they do come up onto land to search for food, lay eggs, or just bask in the sun. Sometimes it takes a little extra effort.

Planting niu is a vision for future generations!
Here is footage from 3 years ago of Indrajit @niu_growing explaining that these niu seedlings will provide food in Hawai‘i long after he is gone. The purpose is still the same and the @niu.now community continues to expand.
