Why come out to Wall Fiends instead of staying home this Sunday?
Okay, stick with us here…
Connecting with others improves your health!
In these dark, expensive, busy times, staying home has become a go-to move.
It’s cheap, it’s easy, it doesn’t require pants.
But connecting with others in social environments is a proven way to help overcome burnout, loneliness, and even suicidal ideations.
According to the CDC, social connection can help reduce the risk of chronic disease and serious illness, including:
- heart disease
- stroke
- dementia
- depression and anxiety
(See “Social Connectedness” on the CDC’s website.)
In 2023, “Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation: The U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community,” was published, using 82 pages to cover the detriments of social isolation, including suicidality and self-harm, and the positive impacts of social connection on individuals and communities, including improved health and community safety.
Citing studies from 2003-2020, Dr. Vivek H. Murthy’s report states, “Social networks are getting smaller…social participation across several types of relationships has steadily declined. For instance, the amount of time respondents engaged with friends socially in-person decreased…20 hours per month”.
Staying home and disengaging from others might seem like recuperation,
but it’s hurting us.
This Sunday, don’t risk your health;
come roll some dice.
Come alone or bring some friends.
Connect with us and let’s have some fun!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas including our little fur baby Patches!! Before we adopted her from @communityeffortanimalrescue she had her one and only litter of kittens that were adopted out to loving homes. Her days of being a mother may be over, but she's still happy to give you purrs and cuddles at the price of a @inaba_northamerica Churu treat.
