This shout out from Jamie Lee Curtis at the @sendermovie premiere is my favorite moment from @SXSW 2026. The soundscape of Sender was a true collaboration of sound and music with the @tisdstudios team and composer @gavinbrivik , so integrated it’s impossible to tell where the sound design ends and the score begins. Thankful and proud to have the opportunity to create original films with amazing collaborators year after year. 🙏

They dug into everyday realities: stretching budgets without sacrificing quality, planning realistically for picture and sound, keeping communication clear with clients, and using modern software and AI to carve out more creative time.

This was SXSW #11 for me and it was one for the books. @tisdstudios was definitively the winner of the festival with the Narrative Jury Prize for @amywangster ‘s amazing SLANTED and a Special Jury Prize for @missannapurna ‘s Trashtown banger FUCKTOYS. I couldn’t be prouder of these two fearless filmmakers and our design and mix of the sound on both films. Away from the fest, I had the opportunity to visit the showroom of watchmaker Steven Lee @dufrane_watches to receive and have him personally fit my beautiful new Travis MKII 40 Acres in my favorite color orange. This may have been the perfect SX. See you next year Austin.
