i’m natalie, a figurative painter, ceramicist, and aspiring curator from nyc! i’m interested in human nature and sensuality, using my work to explore the ways in which emotions, relationships to one another, and personal histories are reflected in the body. oil paint and ceramics are the two mediums i am most drawn to because of their malleability: they react to the movement and impact of my body, allowing me to imprint on them my place in the world. i translate feelings into form and color, drawing inspiration from philosophy, mythology, literature, and music. Hellenistic Greek sculpture, Egon Schiele, John Singer Sargent Sargent, and Peter Paul Rubens, as well as contemporary artists like Oleksii Shcherbak, Janine Antoni, and Grayson Perry inspire and influence my work. in the spring, i’m set to receive my BFA in Visual and Critical Studies @visualcritical from the School of Visual Arts, a program and department i am incredibly grateful to be a part of! last year, i was a summer resident at the New York Academy of Art @newyorkacademyofart , and also co-founed Common Ground Collective — an organization that supports emerging artists by providing exhibition opportunities and career workshops that facilitate connection and community. i discovered my passion for curation after organizing my own group show at SVA, and have the pleasure of carrying that love into my curatorial role at @cgc.stu as well. in my free time, i love to craft for my friends and family, go to concerts at intimate venues, wander around and sketch at museums, go on long walks, and travel! it’s nice to meet you :)

& jan 31 - feb 18 reminiscing on this night feels so warm. so much love for my peers, im so proud of us and constantly grateful i get to share space with you all! grateful for our amazing curator kayla, for tom, for peter, for everyone in the vcs department who has had my back these past 3 years, and for all the beautiful people who came to & and showed their support ❥ before &, id never completed a fully realized body of work. i’d make pieces here and there but there was no deliberately woven thread between them. the months leading up to &, i threw myself into these ideas of sensuality, softness, vulnerability— perhaps the things i most desperately craved during this cold winter. it was truly a pleasure just to make, make, make. thank you & thank you & thank you!!

~ Inner Echoes Reception, April 17, 2025 ~ thank you thank you thank you to everyone who made this beautiful night a reality. conversation flowed, hugs replaced handshakes, and dozens of people of all ages and backgrounds immersed themselves in a world of whimsy. thank you to the friends, family, and strangers who showed their support, filling the space to the brim with laughter, contemplation, and love. thank you to the old friends and classmates who came despite years apart. thank you to the SVA VCS department for believing in this idea and allowing it to come to fruition (and thank you mike, paloma, and peter for always being there to answer my million questions). thank you to the awesome gallery team who was there every step of the way. thank you to anthony for the wonderful photos. thank you to marina and alika— my dearest collaborators and friends. this entire process was one that i hope to have the opportunity to experience again. it is so rewarding to have the power to tell a story through curation. i hope the story i told gave everyone who saw it a piece of magic to hold in their heart for years to come.

embodied march 21, 2026. our year-long daydream finally became a reality. many months after @polina_mankova and i had the idea to organize a night that combined art and movement— our two specialties— we finally found a moment in time to make it happen. our open call invited artists to share work about the body, what it means to be a person sharing space with others. together we worked in perfect harmony facilitating each side of ‘embodied’: i the art and her the performance. we ended up with a beautiful space filled with evocative work, animated through polina’s choreography and the tasteful improvisation of the musicians and dancers. i feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to dive even deeper into my passion for curation, bringing together so many disciplines and artists, representing every facet of the human experience. months of communications and planning, a week of preparing and art handling, all culminating in a day filled with what i am most excited about. providing opportunity for connection, conversation, and representation is something i will never take for granted. thank you @lydooqle5 and @mj_mg_mj for the unwavering support in the days leading up to the event, to @cgc.stu for reminding us that this dream really can be a reality, to @isaacflake for every second of behind-the-scenes help, for @7house.ny for trusting us with such a lovely space, to @portsgrolio for capturing the most tender moments all night, to @polina_mankova for being the most amazing coconspirator, and of course to all the artists, dancers, and musicians for sharing our vision and being a part of ‘embodied’. so so grateful.

single sitting collages made from home and life style magazine cutouts. completed 37 collages in roughly 5 hours; these are a few of my favorites. i did my best to keep each collage concise, trying to be as simple in my delivery as possible, whether that be to tell a story or crack an ironic joke. thank you @phristoff for the incentive.
