Still buzzing from this past weekend ! The Red Bull Dance Your Style Nationals went beyond anything I could have imagined. I’m so proud of the Vancouver dancers, our community, and the general public for coming out and sharing your light. The energy, the passion, the love — truly beyond words. 🙏 Huge thank you to @redbullcanada for having me as a Host and Curator for both the qualifiers and Nationals. And to everyone who shared posts, spread the word, and showed up — you made this what it was. Special love to my amazing co-host @cazimi_houdini — couldn’t have done it without you! 🏆 Congrats to the two-time winner @humuzza 🔥 Shoutout to the incredibly talented @jamal_ali2000 for holding it down all the way to the finals — so proud of you. 💎 SPRING BREAK ALL STYLES CAMP 💎 I’m excited to be teaching at our Diamonds in the Rough Spring Break Camp. I don’t open public classes very often, so this is a rare chance to really train with me in this kind of space. I’m excited to share foundation, freestyle tools, battle knowledge, and just build together alongside the rest of my amazing crew. I haven’t been posting much because I haven’t felt the urge. Some things just don’t feel as important compared to this. I know there’s so much going on in the world right now, but this is what’s been happening in mine. At the end of December, we found out my mom had ovarian and fallopian tube cancer. We were incredibly lucky to get a surgery date quickly. She had the removal surgery and a full hysterectomy at the beginning of January. The recovery has been tough and painful, but she is such a trooper. Witnessing her strength through all of this has been truly inspiring. In the midst of everything, my mom celebrated her birthday on January 23 🤍 And today, she begins her first round of chemotherapy. There have been a lot of emotions — fear, sadness, hope — but above all, there is so much love and belief in her strength. I truly believe everything is going to be okay. One step, one day at a time. My mom is my best friend, my guiding light, my ride or die. Watching her move through this with courage, grace, and heart reminds me where my strength comes from. I want to thank our family and friends for the constant love, support, and check-ins. It means more than I can put into words. Please continue to send your positive thoughts, prayers, and good energy her way. Mom, I love you deeply. I am endlessly grateful for you, and I know you are going to get through this.
