🗣️ Today I took Leaders’ Questions for Labour, in the Dáil.
🗓️ This afternoon, we will move a motion to bring in an interim ‘mini-Budget” targeted principally at PAYE workers and all who are on middle and low incomes.
🛑 The government has decided to formally oppose our motion.
✊🏻 💶 📈 Working people cannot wait until October as the energy and grocery bills mount. Action is needed now.
🗣️ Last night my colleague Joanna Byrne TD and I challenged government on their failure to include any Drogheda schools in the DEIS+ scheme.
🤷 The idea that parts of Drogheda aren’t ‘disadvantaged enough’, to make schools eligible does not stand up to scrutiny.
