neeever knew that it would go so far 🥹 yesterday, WHEN YOU LEFT ME ON THAT BOULEVARD (@boulevard.shortfilm ) received the short film grand jury prize at #sundance. it was already an incredible opportunity to show our film at sundance, but receiving this honor really knocked us on our asses. i still haven’t recovered.
this surprise came after nine days of constant movement, moviegoing, sleep deprivation, and, most importantly, meeting and being with friends i’ll forever love and cherish. the warmth and gratitude i feel are astronomical. i’m so damn grateful for my community and how much it grew this past week with artists whose work i will happily support + eat up for decadesssss to come. (gonna make a big gushy post about these folks later hehe !)
to all our friends and family who pushed this movie along from its inception, to the programmers who put our film in the great company of others from all over, to the jurors who enthusiastically received this love letter to my family and home… maraming salamat 🥹💛🌹🇵🇭
