Three billion native animals: this was the count decimated or displaced in Australia’s Black Summer wildfires of 2019–20 Watching from London, this is what really broke me.. the confusion, bewilderment, utter terror our feathered, furry and reptilian friends must have felt in the face of these scenes Next 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟒 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 in London @ruthlessjabiru @ensembleoffspring make music from the grief; and from the traditional knowledge that could prevent it happening again I just love this capture by the amazing eye of @nampix , so disturbing and at the same time strangely beautiful.. join us next week in a meditation on the dissonance Ticket link in bio, 19:30/7:30PM start at @peckhamlevels #blacksummer #bushfire

@krystlejwright and myself ventured back to the plains of Texas , Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado to document the worlds most visually striking and violent thunderstorms. Though a comparatively sedate May we chased supercells every day and picked up a few tornadoes. A lengthier piece featuring work by Krystle , myself and @indigobluedress will follow in a few weeks. Was awesome meeting up with the usual chase lunatics by the sides of roads and gas stations. i briefly glimpsed @aussky on the side of the road as we fled gorilla hail in Texas , had late night meal with @danielshawau in Mississippi, caught up with a very tired @hsc_thomas and Katey Houston at a gas station in Sterling , Co as well as the always excitable and enjoyable @mikeolbinski and a host of storm nerds , dweebs and weirdos. A deep pleasure was to accidentally meet the wonderful surf photographer @sean_davey searching for new waves , but this time in the atmosphere. Welcome to the plains Sean. Early on we were joined by @thematthartman , @joshguvi and @christopherballadarez as we played luggage Tetris and chasing for a body of work for the very supportive @artlist.io who have been very open , trusting and excited about the project.

An absolute incredible tornadic supercell which formed south west of Lubbock and pushed SSE to Big Springs. Numerous small tornado drops close by in the dry Texan Panhandle. Chasing with @krystlejwright and @indigobluedress

Targeted far south west Kansas yesterday. The first storm was a curious left moving shape with magical structure. As it was unlikely to be a tornado dropper we dropped south onto what became a big angry beast which threatened several times to drop a big tornado, one time right over the town of Liberal , Kansas. Sirens went off and brutal green rotating wall cloud intimidated the locals. Chasing with @krystlejwright and @indigobluedress

Very pretty supercells on mountains around Alpine north of the Big Bend National Park on the border with Mexico. Spectacular landscapes and powerful lightning. Chasing with @krystlejwright and @indigobluedress

Hook slicing a tornado warned storm which blasted off just south of San Angelo and headed south east producing hook echoes , destructive hail and winds. “Hook Slicing” is when you penetrate the heavy rain wind and hail to get a little peek inside a supercell to see if there’s a tornado on the ground . We entered the town of Menard , Tx as the tornado sirens were wailing , golf ball hail smashing trees as cars hid under them and lightning smashed into the buildings nearby. Chased a beastly High Precipitation Supercell from Matador south in Tecas today. It tried several times to to drop a tornado and a couple of spinups were reported but still awesome to see the all@the meteorological science going on. First picture is a DOW “Doppler on Wheels” taking close range radar scans. Chasing with @krystlejwright and @indigobluedress
