Delighted to take The Indian Parent Pod 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 experience to my home state, Jaipur, Rajasthan, at the first edition of The U Matter Summit.
We spoke with @mitakapur , founder and CEO of Siyahi, India’s leading literary consultancy, and a mother of three, about parenting in a hyper connected world. We explored the idea of the “endless scroll of parenting,” how dramatically the context of raising children has shifted from earlier generations, and what that does to the mental health and emotional landscape of parents today.
What stayed with us most was how the session became a genuine two way exchange, parents across different stages of their children’s lives sharing openly, and an engaged audience asking thoughtful, relevant questions. One that stood out was to Jankee: what does your inner work as a parent look like? It’s in conversations like these that one finds a sense of grounding and reassurance in otherwise over informed, often under confident times.
We also made a quick pit stop to pick up some local musical instruments for the kids before heading home the same night, just in time to reset for another school day.
Grateful to the organisers, @ankurlohanikumar , @arushi_lohani , and @anubhavtyagi_______ for putting together such a meaningful summit.
Until we see you again at another TIPP 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚, soon. 💚
They gave him death for a shoe. He gave them a lesson in fearlessness.
Salute to the unsung hero — Thakur Roshan Singh.

A year into building The Indian Parent Pod, a question which kept coming back to us..
We’ve spoken so much about KIDS… but how much have we really spoken to them?
And we reflected… and made a decision..
We are starting something new. Conversations with children, where the questions are honest, unexpected, and something we could not ever come up with.
Because parenting is actually learning from the ones who teach us the most. Are we willing to listen?
A comeback as strong as the setback.
This is the story of over one crore kids being empowered by P&G Shiksha - with tools that help them overcome their learning gaps, and the labels that come with it.

In parenting, you get proof of everything.
The spills ✅
The chaos ✅
The “I told you so” moments ✅
But marks from the diaper?
You won’t get it.
You won’t get it.
We told you. 😄
Pampers Premium Care… so soft, babies wear it day and night with zero marks. Cause we care for the real softness for our Rumi. ♥️

A bunch of random good people I ran into on my way to a flight to Jaipur this morning congratulated me on ten years to a show which defined love for them. Given how chaotic early morning flights can be.. it wasn’t until I rested my back on my Indigo seat did a bunch memories come rushing back and I ended up rummaging my phone for photographic evidence. (cause who even are we without them?)
A decade can be a long time measured in passage of time. But strangely our first day of filming seems pretty vivid in my head. On a burning afternoon in the outskirts of Mumbai with a crew of over 200 people. I spent the larger part of the day waiting in my van until shot was called closer to midnight. Strangely never have i felt as self assured on the first day of anything. Some of it could have been owing to the fact that we shot a pilot for this many months ago & since then the exploration to find Shivaay continued in my subconscious even as i went about my daily life. His gait, his resting look, his rhythm, eccentricities and the way he’d hold his phone. Cut back to the first day of filming, circa April 23rd, 2016..We did a few takes of the walk with the brothers and almost magically it seemed to come together for everyone on the monitor.
The rest of it however seems like 3 years were crunched up into a few multiple hundred episodes which unto this day continues to find newer and a lot of repeat audiences given how streaming has made television immortal. Sometime I feel it’s not even the show but it’s who we were whilst making the show is where we find comfort. For the audiences, some of it is the friends they made whilst this show became their home and for a lot of us it was a time in life when you found a cast and crew which was hungry to play of each other, have fun and make a bloody good show! Whilst so much has happened in the past decade, folks got married, some of us made kids, we lost a dear cast member this year.. what remains unchanged is that everytime someone comes and tells me ‘their’ story of Ishqbaaaz, my heart beams with immeasurable joy. ♥️🦅
There’s something powerful about taking conversations 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞.
At the 7th edition of the India Kids Summit, we had one of our most engaged, insightful conversations with @iamtaran.jk , Chief Business Officer at KidZania. What unfolded was a deep dive into the emotional economy of parenting, how brands and companies can truly solve for children only when they understand what meaning and joy look like for both kids and their parents.
Because at the end of the day, every choice made for a child begins in the mind and heart of a parent.
To witness a room full of parents, brands, and industry voices leaning into these ideas, questioning, sharing, reflecting, it reminded us why The Indian Parent Pod exists.
We feel incredibly grateful that this 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 chapter is traveling far and wide. It’s giving us the chance to meet parents in the real world, to listen more closely, to learn constantly, and to keep evolving with intention.
Big props to our friend @siddharthalaik from The India Kids Summit for creating such a thoughtful ecosystem where parents, kids, and brands come together to build something truly meaningful.

Reports suggest 74% of parents perceive early learning struggles of their children as just a phase. This itself makes it imperative for timely intervention
Learning gaps are far more common than we imagine. Many of us may have struggled when young too! I know I did.
When left unaddressed, these learning gaps can harden into labels. And this affects how they show up. Not just in school, but in how they see themselves.
As parents, it really makes you think .. how can you make sure they feel confident, supported, and empowered to learn… that’s what actually shapes their relationship with education.
Our role as parents is to notice these early signs and create a safe space and showing up with empathy. Kudos to @pgshiksha who has been working tirelessly over 2+ decades to play this role for children and families who may not be equipped to do so. @nakuulmehta and I we were so excited to be part of the conversations with #PGShiksha recently. It is remarkable to learn about the work they are doing to support children in times of need, to ensure potential is never lost to a moment of struggle so potent. In 21 years, @PGIndia is impacting over 1 crore children. But what was even more wonderful is to see them celebrate individuals who have been able to make the best out of these opportunities – every ‘1’ in 1 crore that was able to

There were days I didn’t want to go to school. And I think a lot of us have felt that at some point…we just rarely understood why!
What stayed with me at the @pgshiksha event recently was this idea that learning gaps don’t always show up as big failures. Sometimes, they begin with a quiet moment when something doesn’t make sense, when a child hesitates, or slowly starts believing they’re not capable.
And that changes how they show up. Not just in school, but in how they see themselves.
As parents, it really makes you think - how can you make sure they feel confident, supported, and empowered to learn… that’s what actually shapes their relationship with education.
The @pgshiksha Anthem “Ab Sab Jayenge School”, captures this beautifully - and being a part of this conversation has been truly meaningful.
Congratulations to @proctergambleindia and on the consistent work over 21 years to #EraseTheLearningGap and ensuring potential is never lost to a moment of struggle. It was heartening to learn about the different ways in which P&G Shiksha is working to bring change on the ground. Most importantly, congratulations to the teams for impacting over 1 crore children. This is not just a number – it is 1 crore journeys, 1 crore families and countless moments where the right support made a difference.

Nakuul Mehta and Aakanksha Singh brought alive a timeless skill of letter-reading at Spoken Fest Mumbai 2026, weaving together poetry, storytelling, and fragments of love across generations.
From Franz Kafka and Rainer Maria Rilke to Amrita Pritam, Imroz, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, and Bhagat Singh, this performance travels through letters that hold love, longing, resistance, intimacy, and history. Through spoken word, it revisits a slower, more intentional way of feeling, where words were written, held, and waited for.
