Part 3/3 of Closed Curtain Bright Blue Light..... as the year comes to a close I’d like to share one of the works that made me rediscover cinematography, a short film that came to existence mostly during my experience of working as a full-time (web) developer. Embracing that community and tech culture from a very practical, hands-on standpoint almost forced me to write a few lines of text about/relating to technology and it’s inhabitants, it’s more of a poem rather than a tutorial... thanks to all the friends who gave their feedback and encouragement along the way, and - big thanks to @tin_my_alons for their generous help with their soundtrack that I’ve listened to a billion times

A book has recently been published on the occasion of my one-year exhibition with @arkenmuseum in İshöy, Denmark. The main concept was to develop an identity for the most ethnically diverse area in Denmark and then create objects in Turkey that reflected this and subsequently import them to Denmark.
The exhibition morphed over the course of its existence and encompassed sculptures and videos, as well as works by friends.
It also offered a complimentary tea salon setting for the visitors with a small cinema set up in the back.
The book was designed by playful duo @naive.magic and @alex91.jpg
The curator @jessy.koeiman wrote a text relating to the performative lectures I did
and the Danish curator #LarsBangLarsen and I had a conversation for the book.
The book is very much a reflection of the pitfalls and benefits of working with an art institution on a long-duration artwork.
The book was supported by 15. juni fonden, Hoffman og Husmans Fond and @statenskunstfond

I made this as a sketch few weeks ago based on a feeling i had - to explore the urge of moving forever faster and consequently shedding all physicality just to melt into confusing inertia. And in the end, in spite of succeeding or failing at that, all that’s always left is just.. tranquility and quietude and the unreachable example of a bright light, that’s comfortably moving at its own speed, somewhere far away, into tomorrows
Meanwhile on earth, somewhere in the middle of this process my friend @emilija._____ asked if she could incorporate it into her installation work - To see & smell the surface of the sun. so here we are
If in Vilnius u can find it at @galerijavartai
