The project is made up of 12 tons of concrete blocks. It’s organized around a central island and three independent architectural modules: a bench, a bar, and a massive seating element.
The lighting fixtures are made from construction cones recovered on site and “hacked” to integrate construction work lights. Their robustness, along with the electrical wiring in series, allowed us to suspend them within the space.
Many thanks to @theogould for this opportunity, and to @highergroundlisboa for supporting the project all the way through 🙏🏼
A year ago, @c______us and I had the opportunity to propose an architectural installation at @highergroundlisboa 🏴
Thanks to the precious support of many friends 🫶🏼@mynameisanouk@hugop_reira@diogocoriel@constanca_sabino and others who joined us throughout the project we were able to bring this proposal to life. The concept focused primarily on the use of concrete blocks to create a brutalist oasis at the heart of the club’s chill area
The space includes several seating areas, including a central island, a bar, and movable “tables” allowing for greater modularity. The cloakroom, designed with suspended metal panels, makes it possible to close off access and define the entrance.
This project was a truly meaningful experience and marks one of our first collaborations alongside my partners @c______us and @mynameisanouk for @hot.messstudio
