I started Merchnain because I was embarrassed.
Embarrassed to see what million dollar brands and creators were passing out as merch. My name is @nainmadeit and I had been blessed with a family legacy of fabric knowledge, so I decided to use my superpower to help change the way merch is done.
Here is how it went down.

Dropshippers think all factories are the same.
Thatâs why their hoodies feel like sandpaper and the print cracks in a week.
You donât use a t-shirt factory for heavyweight hoodies.
You donât use a hoodie factory for silk durags.
Match the factory to the piece or get roasted in the comments. #Streetwear #FashionEntrepreneur #ApparelManufacturing #MadeInUSA #MerchProduction
POV: Youâre not off the clock just because itâs Friday.
Matcha run at 11am, shipping updates at 4pm.
Weekend can wait. Orders donât.

POD is not merch.
I say this to all my clients. Sure, POD is faster and more accessible. But it is also generic and without true meaning.
Picture this: You are a creator working hard everyday to tell your story on multiple platforms, thatâs multiple formats, research, trials and errors until you finally find your voice and audience. I know how hard that is. So when the time comes to cash in that effort, selling yourself short through POD merch that will never end up on your audience is just a mistake you are making that so many others will not.
As a result you lose out on making money and growing your community.
Donât make the mistake so many will.

10k is your signal.
If people watch, theyâll wear.
Most creators wait for 100k and lose to someone who started selling at 10k.
Niches get saturated. Algorithms reset.
Drop merch early and turn viewers into walking billboards.
By the time you âfeel ready,â your audience is already following the creator who gave them something real to wear.
My advice to creators: start small but start today. No matter what your niche is, itâll grow fast so leverage it before someone else does.

Crypto creators: tired of mid merch?
Weâre building gear for one of the biggest online casinos in crypto.
This is the brief. The drop is next.
Save this if youâre launching a token/brand in 2026.

POV: your merch guy literally grew up in a clothing factory.
While most merch companies are picking blanks off a Printful dropdown, I grew up in one of the largest textile manufacturing cities in the world. The same city that produces clothing for brands you wear every day without knowing where they came from.
40 years of family textile knowledge. Factory floors before business plans. I knew what heavyweight cotton felt like before I knew what a mood board was.
This is why we donât guess on quality. We know which country, which factory, which mill makes each product best⊠and we go there. Every single time.
Your merch deserves better than a generic blank and a DTG printer.
41150 units sold out across creators, festivals and brands in the US and beyond. Zero paid ads.
This is where those standards come from. đ
When itâs almost weekend and your homies hit you up with âwhat plans for the weekendâ
Me: Locked in đđœ
Here is what I learned about working for yourself:
Everyone romanticises working for yourself until itâs Sunday 11pm and youâre approving a sample because the factory needs a response before their Monday morning shift starts.
No one tells you that working for yourself doesnât mean working less. It means the work never fully switches off because you actually care what happens to it.
Client in a different timezone. Factory in another country. Youâre the only person who can bridge both. So youâre on your phone at dinner. Youâre answering a message before youâve had your first coffee. Youâre thinking about a GSM decision on a Saturday like itâs a normal thing to think about on a Saturday.
The difference is I donât dread Monday. I donât watch the clock. I donât need a holiday to recover from the work. I need a holiday to recover from not being able to switch off from something I actually want to be doing.
Thatâs the trade. And most days I think itâs a good one.
Still figuring it out. But itâs mine. And itâs worth it.
