Homage. Throughout the last few years I would often dream of throwing tricks like my freestyle inspirations and mentors.
My style is clearly influenced by @ian_eisenberg 's, and I got to live a dream this session with 2 Ian originals in combo, kung pao (double shrimpflip) to double darth vader, the latter being a dream trick by itself.

Double supersonic, the hardest trick I've landed so far and with a new (?) technique.
So much I can say here, wouldn't have even tried it if not for the team @mountmini_slacks@robinsonchen9@fern8ndez chasing this powerful movement first.
After some new and hard tricks that session, I felt so much momentum and focus that made every project seem doable, and for a moment truly believed "This can go right now".
Using a technique I had never attempted or even thought of the stick happened first try that day, leaving me with a profound message on human capability and the powers accessible by the mind.

Gooseberry Mesa, one of the most beautiful freestyle lines in the world.
After the Zion Freestyle Invitational some good friends and I decided to go rig this fantastic line. Already tired from a week in the desert, the first look at the view immediately revived our spirits and motivation.
Although I didn't land much this session, this piece is more about commemorating our time together at this overwhelmingly beautiful place. Deeply grateful for where and to whom my path has led these last 4 months.
Wanted to send a message out with this reel encouraging everyone to create. I waited years to feel "good enough" to make freestyle edits, time I could have spent practicing. Art only requires effort and expression, not perfection.

Triple front yoda roll. This one is a project that tests endurance, not technically hard but physically and mentally demanding on every attempt.
The effects of feeling good and having fun on the line continue to surprise me, it took just 4 close attempts before landing the 5th this session.
Hearing my friends celebrate never gets old.

180 Almighty! Worked this trick a few sessions in January then had a couple weeks off and I found myself thinking about it every time I got off the line.
Approaching this session with excitement and confidence, I was surprised to land it first try and quickly repeat it, so I had to throw it in combo.
Extremely grateful for the Austin crew and el tweakos hermanos for so much energy, filming, motivation, and laughs.
If you're thinking "that's barely a 180" I agree and I have a better one coming 😉
