Completely over the moon on this one. It’s been a running joke and a long time goal of mine to snag the front page with @blattphoto // Thank you @theskijournal // The timing of this cover and the story behind it will forever be deeply personal for me. Last year, after my dad’s diagnosis, I decided to stay home and be at his side throughout the winter. For someone who has pursued this career as a professional skier for the past 21 years, it was a drastic shift in how I lived my life. It wasn’t ever easy, by any means. It felt messy, emotional, raw and at the same time wonderful, powerful and life changing in the best of ways.
I felt like I could afford to make one film trip happen and I put everything that I had towards that trip. The finger crossing for good weather and snow, overcoming the many logistical hurdles just to land on this glacier and start the trip, and then stepping away from my dad for an unknown amount of time was a lot, but Aaron was there. He was at my side encouraging me every step of the way.
It was the last day of the trip, the sun had cooked most of the snow except this tiny pocket surrounded by ice on the north face, we only had a couple of hours of light and had to break down camp for our flight out in the afternoon. I hit this poppy, ice bulgy lip and did a shifty, one of my more satisfying airs ever, Aaron clicked the shutter and created this beautiful image as he’s done so many times before, but this one was different. 🩵
If you could see me smile. The most fun turns of my year with the little. 21 weeks and I know they must have felt the joy and excitement reverberate through my body.
I was beyond grateful that my body said yes and the hiking felt good. The skiing felt amazing!!! I will remember this run for a very very long time. 🩵

My path to motherhood has been a powerful personal experience — a transition from what I knew into the unknown. A season filled with observation, learning, growth, and finding strength in new ways. A beautiful miracle unfolding inside me while being held by the women who came before me. A new kind of vulnerability mixed with curiosity and a whole lot of love.�
There is so much to celebrate on this path. Motherhood has not made me less of who I am, but more connected to myself than ever before. More grounded. More open. More aware of the depth of love, resilience, and sacrifice carried quietly by mothers everywhere. It feels as though I am becoming whole in an entirely new way.�
This Mother’s Day, I am deeply grateful for this experience and in awe of all mothers — the ones raising children, longing for children, guiding others, healing generations, and showing up day after day with extraordinary strength. There is nothing small about this role. It deserves to be honored, celebrated, and held with reverence.

The Lyngen Alps of Norway aren’t exactly the smallest of mountains to explore in this new body, but @sistersummit_ proved to be the right environment to do so in. Every day feels different, new, exciting, slow, energetic, curious (you never really know) and it becomes all about tapping in and observing. Thankful for all of the powerful women, mothers, and future mothers who shared their experiences and wisdom, who made me feel so held, and who created this beautiful space.
While everyone played a roll, @lexidupont & @hedvigwessel brought us all together in this epic way. 🩵 Through their events, they are cultivating community and leveling up with every attendee. It was special to witness and to get to be a part of.
On a personal note, I skied the best run of my year, felt strong, felt like myself, and had a giant smile the entire time. I experienced a softness and a kindness from others that, at times, are rare as a pro skier living in a mountain town. It made me realize that maybe that’s what I need more of. This little sensitive soul was nourished and I know the babe felt it.

Wishing you the happiest birthday ever my love! @blattphoto ❤️ the way you showed up for me and my family in the past year (but really more than that) was nothing short of incredible. You were my rock and you held me up with love, grace, presence, and perseverance. Thinking back makes me gush tbh, you are so it! I am head over heels and cannot wait for our future. We’ve lived and loved an entire lifetime in less than a year. It’s been a wild ride, but there is no question we are stronger for it.
Sending you hugs over seas and celebrating all of the things you do that make me smile and laugh…we laugh so hard together. Life with you is the best. Thank you for making me a better me and for making the world more kind, more beautiful, more magical…all of it.

As this panther of a woman transitions into motherhood, she continues to inspire every living thing in her orbit.
We are honored to have this true sister join us in Norway, as her well-cultivated superpowers come into fruition while she steps through the portal from Maiden to Mother.
A little recap of the past few months because I didn’t really feel authentic to myself until I could tell people that I am pregnant. Found out 3 days before my Dad’s memorial. It’s been emotional in all of the ways, a full spectrum. I feel like it was his gift to us. ❤️
I’ve never been so tired, but Cardi kept me on the trails every day. I’d feel better after always. I was ravenous for food and took more naps than I ever have. Lots of 3 AM cereal snack time too 🤭.
Watching other women go through this process as athletes has only made them more interesting to me. I see strength, beauty, and grace in the ways that they live and return to sport with a little at their side. Even in the hard moments, especially in the hard moments, for those times are opportunities to rise to the occasion, build character, and grow. It’s truly incredible and makes me so excited for what is to come. My career has always been inspired by evolution and this journey feels in line with that.
We aren’t finding out the gender, keeping the surprise. At 19 weeks, apparently this little mango 🥭 has developed ears and is starting to hear. Aaron is playing music to the little daily.
I’m finding more energy and am excited for a human powered ski trip in the near future, but I’ll have no expectations of myself as this is truly a wild process! I think having gone through 6 knee surgeries in the past has helped me slow down with acceptance knowing that it is only temporary and this moment is precious. It is especially precious to see the excitement in my mom’s eye. That makes my heart sing.
So thankful for the community of women who have shared their experiences with me, who I am walking this journey next to, and who have come before me.
Amazed by what the crew pulled off this year with @naturalselectionski 🏔️ and honored to be a part of it as your sideline reporter. Getting to spend the full run in AK with everyone was a highlight of my season thus far.
