@sagaftra contract rules before it was âtoo lateâ to "unlock the credits" and negotiate for #FairPay in dealing with multiple problem âemployers.â I literally found out on another session for the film when they show-ponied this scene for the music team and I heard my voice coming out of Amyâs mouth without anyone caring they were disregarding and breaching contract.
If you listen closely, you can hear some of the iconic passages I wrote into the original tracks I recorded from my own studio that got used in the final edit without my permission nor even knowing it was going to be used until I happened to be on that additional session â Snow White's vocalise from 1937's "With a Smile and a Song," and a high E6 at the end of "Fairytale Life (After the Spell)."
It was a joy, originally, to lend the Soprano I notes throughout this magical film on the choir sessions after crafting the pre-production sessions, with a nostalgic nod to the iconic Jud Conlon Chorus (Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan) before the illegal and unethical treatment evolved.
#ScreenCredit in the opening credits was a thing back then for vocal directors, arrangers, and
