🚨 Submissions are OPEN! 🚨
We’re officially accepting submissions for Trans History Project's Cohort 2 of new plays—and we’re calling on trans and gender nonconforming playwrights/artists to bring bold, imaginative, and historic stories to life.
This national initiative will commission and develop new works that illuminate the real history of TGNC people across cultures and time—in partnership
Selected artists will receive a $10,000 commission, dramaturgical support, and a two-year residency at Native Voices, East West Players, Actors Theatre of Louisville, or Baltimore Center Stage.
Help build a trans canon for the American theatre. Now more than ever we must tell the stories history left out.

In my interview for @americantheatremag I said that “I want this to be the production that I never had when I was 15” Well… after a SOLD-OUT run, consistent standing ovations, dozens of messages of love/gratitude from TGNC folx… I can definitively say (as I sit here bawling) that it was the production I never had as a teenager.
I am beyond grateful to every single artist who put their talent into this show. We blazed a trail and I hope we paved the way for other TGNC artists. We made trans hxtory. This one was truly special.

TBH: Initially I looked back on 2024 as a year of disappointments, struggles, and a lack of creative opportunities - it truly tested me. Yet when I scrolled back through my photos, I was surprised to find a plethora of small moments of joy with my amazing friends and chosen family. I am grateful for everyone who shared moments of happiness with me over the last year. For 2025 I am manifesting growth, joy, creativity, patience, self-love, and community.
