I helped found and start a Volunteer Community Garden in my backyard with people I care very deeply about. I've raved and raved about crude oil for months and it was no surprise that I had to bring this concept to life, I'm just a girl and her barrel of spilt oil. I am so proud of myself for being able to recover from my hiccups with this piece at Drag Masters to bringing home a crown for it. The runway was Anti-Hero, I forgot to explain my look on mic so let me fill you in now, my runway for Anti-Hero was a martyred oil guzzling mermaid hellbent on consuming all of the oceans garbage and pollution to save the waters from burning alive at the hands of greed infested corporations, she will stop at nothing to help you drink down the millions of pounds and endless gallons of trash and oil that ends up in her oceans. This look is a cautionary (fish)tail of overconsumption. This is a lesson to me in knowing my strengths and knowing when to practice more. Ik it's silly but this look makes me feel so emotional, with help this whole look is fully made from scratch and I'm so proud of myself for it. Diy is the ROOT of Drag, pushing the boundaries and commentary on what's wrong with current society is the ROOT of Drag. I'm proud to have shown that.
