The last cine film shop in the UK is under threat.
For over forty years Ümit has kept celluloid alive in a small East London shop stacked floor to ceiling with reels posters and stories. Now rising costs are closing in. This is the teaser for our feature documentary called THE LAST PICTURE SHOP.
A funny, tender and unpredictable journey about friendship obsession and what we choose to fight for.
We have launched on @kickstarter LINK IN BIO
If you believe in the magic of cinema please watch, share and back the film.
East London friends - we've got a launch event in the shop tomorrow from 12-6pm. Pop down and say hi!
Let's keep the projector running.

A bizarre retro comedy shot entirely on VHS, VHYES takes us back to a simpler time, when 12-year-old Ralph mistakenly records home videos and his favorite late-night shows over his parents’ wedding tape. The result is a nostalgic wave of home shopping clips, censored pornography, and nefarious true-crime tales that threaten to unkindly rewind Ralph’s reality.
The crew of VHYES will join us for an in-person Q&A. Producer Delaney Schenker will attend the Q&As in Austin, and will be joined by filmmaker Jack Henry Robbins in NYC, DC, San Francisco, and L.A. Thomas Lennon will also join the Q&A in L.A. Get your tickets now at drafthouse.com

New video by @mutantleafling for @rrinconn solo debut single “Cessna”
“Spotlight City” will be released May 3rd on @castlefacerecs . You can stream the first single “Cessna”, watch the music video and pre-order the limited edition half evergreen, half clear color vinyl, from Bandcamp (link in bio). Black vinyl will be available thru revolver distribution.
Here’s a blurb about Spotlight City from John Dwyer:
“Artificial landscapes and mellodies comprised of Moog Grandmother, Mellotron and a kinky Modular system span from beautiful and lilting to haunting and etherial.
The album was a years long learning experience of getting all components and ingredients to link arms and blend comfortably. Wrangling was part of the process.
Strings soaring and sines weaving. Sometimes in the atmosphere, sometimes in the Earth’s core, sometimes flanked by neon blur as it hums & weave patterns through a world imagined in vintage sci-fi pulp. An absolute necessary slab for anyone a fan of CF, OSEES, Popol Vuh soundtracks, 8 bit video game accompaniment & 80s Tangerine Dream” - JPD
