1hr+ of clangs, screeches and drones from my scrap metal + analog electronics and what Stephen referred to as Reinholds "piano auto-cannibalism".
Especially proud of the final, almost 40min monster of a track. An intense journey through the pleasures of noise, exhilarating as it is exhausting.

You will hear an interweaving of sound and image, in which the video data controls the sound. Recursive digital and analogue feedback loops with AM radio sounds as the connecting element. An app programmed by Stefan Nussbaumer converts colour data into OSC signals, Georg Zichy manipulates piezo microphones and objects as analog sensors. In this way, the sound is controlled by 54 pixels and two human beings.

Exactly 10 years ago at Elektro Gönner.
Our first “official” gig as gedachs after switching names for every show.
Roughly 40mins on prepared guitars (no sax!) with film projections of material cut together from Werner Herzog docs, focussing on landscapes and machines.

Georg Zichy
is a sound, clang, rattle, screech and noise artist. In his solo practice, he performs with found objects and electronics: containers, tablets, bins, rods, etc. Acoustically scratched, bowed and hammered, electronically amplified, distorted, and fed back.
Zichy lives and works as a freelance artist and musician in Vienna, moving between noise, free improvisation, and a phenomenology of sounds. 2025 saw the release of Vleisch (Opal Tapes), a duo with Reinhold Friedl and a_kustisches (self-released) in a duo with Fabian Wutti.

Intakt III brings together Sound Art students, alumni, and listeners for a shared evening in Vienna in the context of a tape release. Emerging from diverse artistic practices, the event creates an open space for listening, exchange, and collective experimentation. The contributions range from field recordings and noise to performative sound, live sonification, and process-oriented sonic experiments.
Lissa:schu Collective: The focus lies less on the finished work than on the shared process — sound as research, as documentation, and as a social practice. The collective understands itself as a temporary coming-together as well as a growing and expanding sound art community — a moment of sharing, testing, and further developing artistic approaches to sound.
