New muro studio site is now live! I've been freelancing for almost a decade without a proper site and I'm pretty sure some of my friends and even my mom can't really explain what I do. I finally got some time at the end of last year to go back and document a bunch of projects. Perfectionism isn't winning this one and I will admit there are some gaps but I'm super happy with how this turned out.
Big thank you to @freshfonts.io for the typographical inspiration. I've been a subscriber of theirs for a few years and their work really helped me get the inspiration to push this to the finish line. I'm excited to see the evolution of their platform with their new foundry initiative this year. 🌟
One of the features of the site that I'm excited about is the graph visualizing all the data about the projects and the people involved (again, gaps! I've yet to add everyone). This site is as much an outward communication tool as it is a living archive to build upon and make sense of where I've been, and where I'm going with my design practice.

Super excited to announce that I now have a show on @bsidedotradio ! I’ve been a big fan of @bsidedotradio for a long time, and I’m honoured to have a slot now alongside a bunch of great people.
I’m playing the first Tuesday of every month from 8-9pm - starting tomorrow, March 4th.
You can pop by to check it out in person and say hi, or stream it online at twitch.tv/bsidedotradio (also all shows are now being uploaded to youtube afterwards so you’ll be able to catch up if you aren’t around).
I’ll be using the hour to showcase experimental, ambient, classical, drone and many other random ethereal noises - might throw in the occasional jazz, salsa or bossanova vinyl too.

A few years ago @_staceywithane_ from @goodnightout_vancouver reached out to me with the idea for an interactive method to find out about recreational substance interactions in a festival context because the standard mode that most festivals and events currently offer is hard to use.
Nothing materialized from our initial efforts to get someone to fund us but the idea never left my head. So after taking a little work break last year I decided to take a stab at making the thing myself. After figuring out the technical side, we designed a working web based interface to show the potential effects of different substance combinations.
To top it off we partnered with @maxammo.artwork from @slime____studio to create some illustrations for a number of substance types. I’m thrilled with how they turned out and we may eventually sell some prints to cover some of the costs of making this self funded labour of love in the DIY spirit.

Eventually the financial reality of living in Vancouver set in and I had to get back to work so right now so while this project is up and functional it's not ready for the public just yet. Eventually we’ll be looking for testers to give us feedback and push this forward so it can be actually usable. From a UX standpoint there's loads to do.
