Stopped off in Edinburgh in August & did a street show.
I first played the fringe festival when I was 10 years old & street performing played a huge role in shaping my music & performance style. I think I worked out the hours once - divided into 24 hours a day - it equated to a total of 4 years of my life just busking. It’s the most honest place in the world, it teaches you more than any stage ever tries to, usually the hard way, but sometimes the beautiful way.
It’s mean, it’s great, it’s gritty - it’s the street.
