YO- it’s been a hot minute since I last posted so I figure what better way than by paying homage to a classic piece of Western Australian history…
If my math is correct it’s almost 30 years ago since the VHS release of the Momentum Skate video - FOX FORCE FIVE ( https://youtu.be/Q1rK-5jyY5M )
Long story short words can’t express the admiration and respect I have for this video and the crew in it, the inspiration they gave me growing up is immeasurable- so thank you: Brett, Morgan, Kye, Sparky, Grantley and all the rest of you- you know who you are .
Perth in the 1990s , what a time to be alive.
Definitely worth a watch, even to those with no interest in skateboarding.
LOCATION- Oxford Street, Leederville, WA
Shout outs to the crew who have claimed a disused car yard and turned it into a make shift skate park- concrete and all including the ledge here that I have converted into a miniature Perth passenger train (likely inspired by Morgan Campbells similar tram ledge in Melbourne)
World’s shortest nose slide by yours truly. (it’s also been a hot minute since I stepped on a board)
So humbled to have recently found out students @wesleycollegearts had been studying my paintings.
Over the years on several occasions I’ve had young students across the globe learn about my style and create their own variations of it- to the art teachers and their students I thank you. 🖌️🖍️🖊️🖋️
