📌 Putting #FoodSecurity on the (inter)national security agenda. For the past two years, the MSC Food Security Task Force brought together decision-makers across sectors to develop geopolitically grounded, action-oriented recommendations to increase the resilience of global food systems. 4️⃣ official meetings, from Sunnylands and Rome to Pretoria and NATO headquarters in Brussels, addressing today’s most urgent food security challenges 3️⃣ Roundtables at the Munich Leaders Meetings in Nairobi (2023) and Rio de Janeiro (2024), as well as at #MSC2024 3️⃣ Townhalls at MSC 2024, 2025, and 2026 2️⃣ Food Security Tracks at #MSC2025 and 2026, including curated Side Events, such as those co‑organized with the @cfr_org 2️⃣ Discussion formats at COP28 (Dubai) and COP29 (Baku) 3️⃣ High‑level panels at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture in Berlin 💡 One key takeaway: Food security is fundamental to stability—and increasingly weaponized. Investing in resilient agrifood systems is not optional; it’s a strategic necessity.

Ever wondered where the phrase “Towards Mutual Security” came from? Diplomacy happens on more than one level. And that’s exactly what Episode 2 of our new MSC podcast “The Art of Diplomacy” is about. Three levels of diplomacy at MSC: 1️⃣ The public level Speeches and panel discussions that are transparent, accessible, and meant for a global audience. 2️⃣ The official, non‑public level Planned and often scripted meetings behind closed doors. 3️⃣ The human level Human‑to‑human interactions we sometimes deliberately create at the MSC. No scripts, no missions, no hidden agendas—just people engaging with people. At formats like our foosball tournament, trust is built, networks form, and front and back channels might begin. Our hosts @florencegaub and @yaffaesque explore this topic as well as the broader question: What is the Art of Diplmacy? New podcast episodes are released every other week. 🎙️ Guests so far include: @grossirafaelmariano , @ianbremmer & Daniel Kurtz-Phelan Listen now—link in bio.
