Captured the divine spirit of @theflippside in Marin County Civic Center designed by THE Frank Lloyd Wright.
Allowing the architecture to guide the composition of the shots and finding corners to exist within it. Kara styled a look that could hold its own against the warmth of the walls, and we built from there.
We had a meeting about the vision and long text chains leading up to a photoshoot that couldn’t have been filled with more good energy. It was our first time collaborating on a concept and I don’t think I’ve ever flowed so effortlessly with a model and creative. So grateful to be in each others orbit and to have met another creative who’s energy, drive, and goals align with mine so wholeheartedly.
Being a photographer is one of the greatest joys of my life!

Rooted in the Bay Area, this project gathers the voices, memories, and lived experiences of people across generations through photo, video, and conversation. It’s centered on the raw emotions, thoughts, and experiences we carry. The in-between moments, the histories, and the ways we’ve come to belong (or not feel like we belong).
Stories of family, migration, memory, growing up, leaving, returning.
This work is self-funded and growing gently, with the intention of one day shaping it into a physical exhibition.

We loved getting to bring our community together for a space that felt open, honest, and grounded in real conversation.
As Camy shared, guidance doesn’t always come from having all the answers. Sometimes it comes from sitting in a room together, talking through the in-between, and realizing you’re not alone in it.
From navigating college to stepping into post-grad life & mental health, this was a space to ask questions, build confidence, and hear from someone who’s built out chapter and been in it, not just through it. We’re so grateful to @camytotah for holding this space so intentionally and sharing her perspective with our community.
This is just the beginning for her mentorship journey…keep an eye out.

You all know i love pickles… so naturally i threw a pickling party 🥒
Everyone brought jars, veggies, and a dish to share and somehow we ended up with the most insane spread! Slow cooked chicken sliders, pickle mac & cheese, green goddess salad, pickle de gallo, banana bread, egg rolls… truly so many yummy dishes!
There’s something about a shared activity, making things with your hands, learning a new skill, and passing plates around that makes connecting with your people extra special.
We ended the night teaching rumikub, which everyone quickly got the hang of! My family has been playing with our Sitti & Sedo since we were kids and to this day it’s one of my favorite games to introduce to friends. If you’re Arab, you know just how much our grandparents love their rumikub!
Now that everyone got the hang of it, I’m thinking we host a game night! Who’s coming?

Energy has reignited ✨
I’ve been movin and groovin through back-to-back shoots and projects and it all started with an open studio we hosted with two homegirls from college, @thejohannasien@kristnyu
(two of the people we’ve photographed most over the past 5 years).
The intention was simple:
To support them in capturing their essence through playful, light, and professional imagery—something they could carry into their portfolios, artist bios, and linkedin.
Vision boarding, styling, setting up the outdoor studio, directing, and creating with people i’ve lived life with gave me space to refine my process, receive real feedback, and observe how I show up.
It reminded me how I want to move in every shoot. Grounded, present, and fully myself 🤸🏽♀️
Creating space for people to feel comfortable, confident, and leave feeling inspired! I’m bringing that energy into everything i do this year 🤍
