Seventh heaven in Bucks! These are the 7 places I genuinely love near me, the kind of spots I keep going back to, recommend to friends and feel proud are in my area 🫶
1. Giving my starter the look of love
@greyhoundbeaconsfield - they’ve won big foodie gongs for a reason! It’s the perfect special occasion place and considered one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK. Book it for your next boujee date night, but warn the babysitter that the tasting menu is something to savour so you’ll be taking your sweet time🌹
2. Cold brew coffee and colourful salads with a kick
@alittlestreetkitchen in Amersham. It’s a British Malaysian café with an ever changing menu that’ll tickle your tastebuds and perk up your lunch break. Make a beeline for the spicy bao specials 🌶️
3. Rolling in the bluebells (or snow!) up at
@wendover.woods - there’s views for days over the Chilterns and little pockets of calm at every turn. Plus play trails galore and all the facilities you need with kids in tow. The parking’s as steep as the hills so we asked for membership through
@forestryengland as a 🎁 and have definitely had our money’s worth.
4. For fine dining in Amersham’s old town, look no further than
@artichokechef . It’s Michelin-starred brilliance on the doorstep and Jan is just the time to give it a spin. The midwinter menu has landed and set lunch is £49 for 3 courses. I’ve got my eye on the orzo with English pecorino. Run, don’t walk 🏃♀️
5. I’m basically eating my way around Bucks at this point but Wild Feasts
@oxmoorfarm are always magical. Enjoy a welcome cocktail by the fire, marvel at the sunset over the fields and tuck into excellent grub from a host of culinary talents.
@markmccabe_chef pulled out all the stops the last time I went and I’m excited to see what’s in store this year 🍽️
6. Some faux-eating this time at a Mini Farmers session for little ones
@peterleymanorfarm near Great Missenden. Keep your 👀s peeled for half-term and holiday events and personally I’m also all in for the pop-up wine bar making its debut on 29th Jan 🍷
7. Evening strolls along the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal for a 🧠 break.
