Matel is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a degree in BA Communication Arts, majoring in Theater.
Her professional theater credits include roles in acclaimed productions such as Sandbox Collective and 9 Works’ Theatrical's “Himala: Isang Musikal,” PETA's “Rak of Aegis” seasons 6 & 7, “A Game of Trolls,” Spotlight Artists Centre's “Dirty Old Musical,” Black Box Productions' “Dekada 70,” and REP’s Theater for Young Audiences’ “Snow White and The Prince.” She recently appeared as Sandra in Ricky Lee’s “Para Kay B: A Stage Adaptation” and Encore Theater’s “GRACE” by Floy Quintos.
Beyond her theatrical pursuits, Matel is also an experienced events host, voice-over artist, and occasional commercial model, demonstrating her passion for engaging audiences across multiple platforms.

No big stages for me this 2026. Just intentional ones.
Someone once told me I have a beautiful voice, but that I don’t belong in this era. Kind of took that to heart & unconsciously tried changing my singing just so I could fit in, especially when I started pursuing musical cheter. Eventually, even I forgot what I truly sound like.
But 14 years later, I now choose to rediscover and embrace my sound. ✨ So thank you @jus.eats & @tinvirtucio for inviting me to third-wheel with you in this show, because I believe there’s no better way to celebrate my sound than performing songs from my “era” haha I am excited to sing. I cannot remember the last time I genuinely felt this.
