This was such a great way to close january. Thank you @adoboshecreativenetwork for having me as your host. I'm so grateful to have met all these titan women @nikkigolez Julia Arsenal Dela Rosa @thekatbautista , and even the woman who instigated the @righttocarecard campaignAbi Aquino. I learned so much from these icons!

I've finally gotten the hang of this recipe so I thought I'd share it with you!
Ingredients:
850 ml milk (adjust this to the capacity of your final container)
85 ml yogurt with live culture (10% of the amount of milk, give or take a bit should be fine)
*you can check the Ingredients or label of store bought yogurt for your starter. They'll likely have it advertised.
If you want a sweeter yogurt, add your honey or simple syrup after everything has set in the fridge.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes!

Let's be realistic here, cooking and cleaning for three meals a day, every single day on top of work was not as simple as it was made out to be when we were kids. I salute anyone able to achieve that!
✨️ 3 rules I go by ✨️
1. check if they actually serve it or if they can mix it up for you (some cafes are happy to, but it’s not SOP everywhere)
2. Tidy up! Their table isn't my kitchen
3. I don't do this in degustations or in places that are very deliberate in the way they want you to experience their dish. As they say, cooking is the only art that uses all 5 senses. some dishes are made to be enjoyed a certain way, thoughtfully crafted by artists in the culinary world.
1 caffe(espresso)
1 peach fruit soda
Enjoy!
*note, some places offer things for free - additional ice/sugar, etc, but if you have to pay for it, be nice. After all, it's their menu and inventory.
Just comment if you have questions! <3 Slow and steady is sacred. At least it is for anyone who has to run around Metro Manila on most other days. Now for the record, I only make one or two of these on my slow days to give myself time for other things. I personally wouldn’t recommend doing all of these in a day unless you’re pressed for time.
No Bagbagkong?? I shall get to try you one day.
Does anyone else feel how fresh produce has become such a luxury lately? At this point I only hit the grocery for greens when I need something fast. I don't want to risk the spoilage so I really have to plan things.
I'm usually on the go as a performer and event host in Manila so I try to time produce deliveries on my slow days. I have a few favorites I get from on my channel, but @sessiongroceries is part of my usual rotation. I mean look at those cauli heads?? They're the locale farm on the website btw.
Worth a try imo if you can time the delivery to your sched. Like any palengke pasabuy, some things will be unexpectedly unavailable. That's mostly just very seasonal things though --- like bagbagkong. Has anyone tried that? The foodie in me is so curious!
This lifestyle isn’t for everyone, and like any field it has its ups and downs. The foodie in me loves the excuse of being able to try different spots near my work for the day. Being a performer and event host in Manila means having to dash around, so finding spots with good food to settle in between the rush is really important. Scheduled meal prep is also important for me for days when things get too exhausting. What’s important is finding a system that works for you, and adjusting when needed.

That was a very quiet cafe. I may have confused some people. I guess I'll go back to looking like the girl talking to herself in public when I'm studying a script.
Now as much as I would love to just memorize at home, i'm usually on the go as a performer and event host in manila. That means most of my study time happens in between engagements in some cafe, restaurant or park.
I honestly have not noticed these many partner brands in one single Kultura store. The summer crawl at the SM Megamall Atrium is definitely worth a visit. Quite a few of the goods aren’t found in every single branch. There are also quite a few items on sale or on bundle deals! I got to see some of my staples liked the @theoandphilo bars, and @kangkongkingph king chips, as well as a few new discoveries like @salbahe_chili and their pusit chips, and @thegoodpoison
Wish y’all could have been there! That was a vibe! Thank you @78salcedo for giving us a space to jam to the tunes of a disco queen like Diana Ross.
I love being an event host in Manila, but I can’t say I’ve ever had the chance to jam like that as a host before. This was such a random coming together of people I really wanted to work with! I daresay this deserves a repeat. What do you think @tinvirtucio@mtlptyn ?
