When we make skateboarding about achieving some specific outcome, we limit what we can experience.

I’d never tried a feeble. When I use to skate, it was something “the kids” did.
Coming back to skateboarding, I’m not trying to get back what I had. Because whatever I had also had limitations. This time, I’m staying in the moment and trying new things. Learning the basics that I never learned.
The old skater in me has a lot of bad habits both physically and mentally. And those old patterns seem to be my biggest barriers.
So trying tricks I’d never even considered makes me feel vibrant again. Even if I can’t land more than one out of a hundred.

Stoked to get these FS Slappy 5-0s better than I ever had them. The gold was remembering the back-foot bias. It helped my skateboarding and made me realize why I was having so much trouble doing basic stuff.
