This Saturday, 28th of March, Club Are returns for its 18th Edition featuring @msg_ldn (they / them) at the Room 1 stage. Ms. G has been a mainstay of the London queer scene for the better part of the last decade and a longstanding resident at Dalston Superstore.
Known for moving seamlessly across styles, they prioritise feeling and instinct over genre, shaping sets that are sexy, playful and charged with energy. With a sharp ear for overlooked gems ranging from late 80s to 00s, their selections avoid the obvious in favour of something more personal and distinctive. Drawing on queer club history, their storytelling flows through unexpected selections, creating sets that are both cohesive and unmistakably their own.
They have played at some of London’s most coveted parties, including Body Movements, the now defunct Big Dyke Energy raves, Club Are, UNFOLD, Smut Press, and closing the gone but not forgotten Chapter 10.
This year, they’ve continued to build momentum internationally, with sets across Europe including a return to Smut Press, a debut in Latvia with Jauda, and Berlin for World of Worlds Party.
Recent years have also seen standout moments at Hypersoft in Berlin, Macadam in Nantes, Boiler Room, and Tender in Dublin, alongside a huge London moment opening Pride at UNFOLD.

I have found that when life gets a little tough and in seek of sanctuary, nostalgia has been a beautiful way to provide refuge and healing, a path to self reclamation. Revisiting these moments has helped me make sense of both loss and growth.
This list is eclectic. It’s introspective, playful, dark, sexy, and definitely some guilty pleasures in there. There’s a natural arc to the playlist from the ache of letting go, to the calm confidence that comes with rediscovery. A story we are all familiar with.
