Back from the island, back in the “real” world.
Time went fast, can’t believe we had to leave already.
5th Christmas over 10 years, many new faces and many happy familiar ones, lots of new grinds made, only 45 guests this year, saw rocks, sea anemones, a kestrel, a peregrine falcon, robins, barnacle geese, grey seals, porpoises, wild horses, sika deer and the stack, soay sheep, highland cattle, did yoga in a Victorian church, cold water dipped and sad in a rock pool, went in a haunted house for old logbooks, facilitated a Christmas carol-along with Lundy stories, met Lars the Lundy Stamp legend, froze my ass off thanks to the beast from the east, played games, made memories, decided against “ropping” down south light to find a place to dip, walked, drank and ate my own body weight! Then helicoptered off and here we are…

In Danish we say, “Ananas i egen juice” - which translates to “Pineapple in your own juice.” 🍍🥤 It’s a quirky way of saying that sometimes, you have to relish in your own success and celebrate those sweet moments 🫣
