Jan 2026, Em’s Bday Shed Gig 🥳 Ok, I’ve got a lot to say, just for something different! 😜 Ever since I could walk and talk I’ve been a TOTAL music nerd, yep really. In the (almost) 15 years Em & I have been together I’ve got her onboard the music nerd train too! 😉😂 We are (very) fortunate to be able to go to a LOT of gigs…no school fees to pay in our house! 😉🥳 We’ve always gone to gigs early, to catch the local support acts and we’ve always followed the local music scene. But around this time last year, 6 months before starting this whole Shed Gigs dealio, I started REALLY deep diving into the Adelaide music scene. Like obsessively deep diving! 🤭😂 It’s been bloody fantastic, can’t recommend it enough! 🙌😍 This means that a lot of our Shed Gig artists are fairly new (total) obsessions of mine, there are however a handful of artists that Em and I have both been obsessed with for yearrrrs. Which brings me to last night, with @ms.chipeta (Liv) HERE…at our house, on our deck and in our shed! 🤯😳🙌 Em and I first stumbled upon Liv and her incredible band (🙌) a few years ago when they were supporting a local band we love- @dojorise (go suss them out later too! 👌). It goes like this, I hadn’t done my due diligence (rare!) to suss out who the support was for this particular gig. I was in line for the loo, randomly chatting to a lovely human, afterwards we both walked out into the pub. I went over to Em…and the lovely human…got up on the stage and took to the microphone! Yep, it was Liv! 😂 She and her band were FLAWLESS, they had all of us dancing and honestly Liv just blew us away with her gorgeous voice and effortless (🤷‍♀️🤯) stage presence! Liv is magnetic, yet somehow also totally down to earth….both on and off the stage! Em and I were hooked from that night! 🥳🥰 …Em’s reaction when I told her I’d booked Liv to do a (neighbour friendly) solo Shed Gig? …’Oh God, I don’t know if I can even talk to her!?’ 😳Yep, all aboard the music nerd train! 😉😂 Em powered on though, maybe because this was her Bday Shed Gig…! 🥳🥰 Yep, ran out of room…continued in the comments…
