Momma x Maria Abrahamian
Momma’s second collab with sculptor + installation artist @mrzyabe culminates in a cookbook zine put together by the artist in preparation for their top surgery this coming fall.
The book includes recipes of comfort connected to Abrahamian’s Midwestern-Armenian roots, developed by the artist and from their personal family archive.

This year Momma will feature, Everything I Need Is Right Here, the very early documents of a conversation just beginning with multi-media artist Maria Abrahamian- @mrzyabe . Together we are exploring Maria’s creative world through themes of nostalgia, idealism, aging, self-portraiture, dysmorphia and cartoon logic. I am having so much fun with this one and can’t wait to talk about it with you all in San Pedro tomorrow.
Additionally, Momma will feature artists and poets Rebecca Rouse (@rebeccamonster ) and Zaq Kenefick (@zaqkenefick ). Be sure to join us at the Reading Tent between 2pm-3pm to hear their work performed and stop by Momma’s table (spot 18) to support them by collecting their work.

Thank you to all my friends that continue to make room for me and breath the fun and playfulness back into life.
The lesson this project continues to give me is make things with your friends and look for friends who make beautiful, unmanageable, difficult things.
